Where is The Hideaway?
Overlooking the beautiful Hebden Dale valley we are just 100 yards from the iconic Pennine Way and a short stroll to historic Heptonstall village (former home of Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath) where you will find the legendary Towngate Tearooms (our favourite place for breakfast and afternoon tea!). The village is also blessed with two great pubs, a museum, and post office. There are dozens of fantastic pubs and restaurants in and around Hebden Bridge (a 5 minute drive or 15 minute bus ride) and dozens of independently owned shops, art galleries, and cafes. A maker's market takes place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And with Bronte Land just over the next valley you really are spoilt for things to do. Alternatively, kick back and enjoy The Hideaway's magnificent views across Hardcastle Crags and beyond.
BOOK DIRECT WITH THE OWNERS
Hello! We are Nick and Paula Meir. Welcome to our 250 year old Grade 2 listed Weaver's cottage (well, really the place is run by Doodle Coco Chanel, and Springer Spaniel Rocky). We are kept pretty busy running our coaching and training business, and so The Hideaway is a place where we can completely unwind. It's fair to say we love it. We are delighted to be able to share our cosy little cottage, and hope you'll love this beautiful corner of England as much as we do.
(All bookings are taken direct and that means you aren't paying exorbitant booking fees and additional service charges)
